Barbie’s Ankles Deemed Fat

In celebration of Barbie’s 50th anniversary of hitting toy stores since 1959, one shoe and handbag designer, Christian Louboutin, commissioned to snaz up her wardrobe found the task too daunting, as he declared that her ankles are simply “too fat” for his skin tight shoes. Now this surprises me, as I learned that when taking Barbie’s proportions and imposing them on an actual human size, her tiny feet and waist are so miniscule and disproportionate compared to wide hips and enormous bust, that she would not be able to physically walk- she would have to crawl everywhere.

We all have our own imperfections, whether we realize them or not. For the most part, insecurities develop when we begin to be too conscious of our own imperfections. When insecurities arise in relationships, it often leads to jealousy and a worst-case scenario, a break-up. Marc Jacobs Protect the Skin You're In Campaign

Marc Jacobs is reissuing some of his “Protect the Skin You’re In” campaign tees, in which notable celebrities and fashion icons pose nude. Pictured is Actress/Designer Chloë Sevigny, who joins fellow celebrities Victoria Beckham, Heidi Klum, Dita Von Teese, Doutzen Kroes and Erin Wasson, who all pose nude on one of Jacobs’ tees. Proceeds from ALL sales of the campaign tees are to be donated to the NYU Cancer Institute at NYU Langone Medical Center. Since the launch of the campaign in 2006, over 1 million dollars have been raised.

Interestingly enough, the players who have modified the game made it so only teens can be with other teens. Mods are developed by players who then upload the mods to share with others, sometimes with unexpected results.

Lots of teens are using the Internet to look for health info; however, not all the info out there is accurate. Here are a couple of tips to make sure the info you are getting is correct:

1. Look for sites that end in .gov, .edu, or .org
2. Be careful of bogus links from posts

China's Giant Condom Painting

Here's an innovative way China is spreading the word about condoms-- with a giant condom painting ! The painting, made of 60,000 condoms, is about 59 feet long and 11 feet wide and depicts the scenery of steep peaks in Guilin, China.
