When you are at that "in-between" age where you are starting to get turned away from trick-or-treating (no fair..trick-or-treating should be optional no matter how old you are!) but you're still too young to head to the bars, it can be hard to think of stuff to do. Don't worry, we've got your covered. Here are 4 ideas to keep the BOO in halloween without the BOOZE.
1) Take your little sister/brother/cousin/neighbor trick-or-treating. I was serious when I said trick-or-treating should be allowed no matter what your age. Luckily, there is a loophole- if you find some cute kids to walk around with, you can totally partake in the candy collection.
2) Go to the scariest movie in the theatres- and enjoy the theatre to yourselves! Nothing says Halloween like bingewatching the latest horror flicks. The best part is that the theatre will probably be pretty empty thanks to all of the Halloween parties and trick-or-treating, so you can enjoy the extra scare of watching solo (or with a couple of friends).
3) Offer to be DD and get good karma for a LONG TIME. Even though you and your friends aren't old enough to drink, chances are that some of them will probably experiment with drugs or alcohol, especially if they are at a party where alcohol is served. Let your friends know that you are NOT cool with drinking and won't be drinking, but that you are there for them if they need a safe ride home.
4) Host your own booze-free Halloween party. Show your friends just how fun it can be to party without the booze. Make some creepy looking appetizers (shrimp brain cocktail anyone?), put on some classic Halloween flicks in the background and enjoy spending some quality time with your friends. #squadgoals
Trust us, you will have PLENTY of Halloweens where drinking will be involved...why not enjoy being a teen while you still can? Another bonus...No hang-over and no regrets about drunk-texting or forgetting to wear that condom. Happy Halloween!
