Ready to have sex but not sure where to get protection?

When you’re planning on having sex it’s good to have all your bases covered…with latex! Condoms are probably the most well-known birth control method for an endless amount of reasons. They come in all sorts of fun shapes, sizes, flavors and designs, and they protect you from both pregnancy AND STDs.

There are 2 types of condoms:

  • External Condom
    •  The external condom is a thin covering that fits over an erect penis.
    • Condoms are 85-95% effective at preventing pregnancy, and the biggest reason for a condom failing is if it’s not used properly. To watch a video on how to put on a external condom, click here.
    • You can get external condoms at supermarkets, drugstores, vending machines, or at a clinic. People of any age can easily buy condoms.
  • Internal Condom
    • The internal condom is a thin, but very strong pouch, inserted into the vagina or the anus and can be used by both both people with vaginas and people with penises for safe vaginal and anal sex.
