Condoms are awesome for so many reasons! They are small, discreet, cheap or free, and can travel with you wherever you go! However, they also expire and can break if they haven’t been stored properly.
You may have heard the usual tips on how to properly use a condom.
These include:
- Check for the expiration date.
- Check for the air bubble. This ensures that the package doesn’t have a little hole that let the air out. If there is a hole in the package, the lube on the condom might have dried up, making it more likely to break.
- Never open the wrapper with your teeth or scissors.
- Make sure you don’t put the condom on inside out! If you do, you need to throw it away and start over with a new one. You can tell whether it is inside out by slightly unrolling the condom before putting it on.
These are just a few important things to remember when putting on a condom. To ensure that you don’t have a condom mishap, always carry more than one with you at a time, just in case! But remember, only wear one condom at a time.
