Election Day is coming soon on Tuesday, November 8. In California, voters can vote early! All registered voters receive a ballot in the mail and can return it by mail (no postage needed) or drop it off at a polling center now until Election Day.
Voters will elect or re-elect leaders at the local, state, and federal levels. Learn more about the different state and federal positions here.
Here are three tips for making your voice heard:
- Research issues and candidates on the ballot. The ballot will include important measures like guaranteeing abortion and birth control rights in the state constitution and funding arts and music for public schools and community colleges. Learn more here.
- If you can vote, vote for the issues and candidates you believe in - and cast your ballot ASAP!
- Spread the word about what is important to you this election with family and friends.
If you are under 18, you can pre-register to vote online and encourage people in your community to vote!
Now that you’re prepared, let’s get out the vote!
