I learned about sex on the playground, but my questions were never fully answered. You see, my family was strict and my sex ed teachers felt awkward at best. I didnt really learn about sex until I started having it and by that time...it was a little too late. These days I am a happy and healthy young woman, but the side effects of an inadequate sex education could have been easily avoided.

I was lucky. I had a great sex ed teacher. What made her great was her honesty. She was willing to address anything! But even with a wonderful sex ed teacher there were still many personal questions left unanswered. Why? Because students were too embarrassed to ask them. That’s why I think that sex ed of the future needs to include a website where teens can get their personal questions answered by trusted authorities.
