2010 Condom Cover Art Contest: See the Winners!

We have our winners!

The talented young artists whose work was chosen include: Daniel Herrera of Los Angeles, Erin Malcolm of Visalia, Eugenia Sangiovanni of Los Angeles, Genel Sison of Fremont, Patrick Tormey of Sherman Oaks and Robert Flores of South Gate.

The goal of the California Family Health Council’s Condom Cover Art Contest is to heighten teens’ awareness of STD and Pregnancy Prevention through creative art.   This year’s contest was underwritten in part by Ansell Corporation, the maker of the Lifestyles Condom.  Many incredible condom cover designs were submitted by youth under the age of 25 from across California. The top 27 entries were selected by a committee for a final round of online voting at TeenSource.org.  Online voters selected the six winning designs. Each winner will be awarded a $500 prize at a press conference August 26^th, 2010, scheduled from 1-4pm in Los Angeles where the artwork will be unveiled. 

Thousands of condom packets with the winners’ cover art and teen health messages will be distributed throughout the year to family planning clinics, STD clinics, high schools, colleges, juvenile detention facilities and other community-based health agencies across California. Condoms and condom instructions will be included in each condom packet, in both English and Spanish along with facts about STD.

About the Condom Cover Art Contest

The Condom Cover Art Contest is held every two years to raise awareness about Chlamydia and other sexually transmitted diseases. The California Family Health Council thanks all of the talented young people who submitted their artwork. So many amazing designs were submitted! You can see all the 2008 entries here.

The Condom Cover Art Contest was underwritten in part by Lifestyles Condoms.

CFHC has created Condom Art products from the artwork of a previous artist, Jay Li. Proceeds of the sales of these products will go to support future Condom Art programs.
