Teens+Condoms? Yep, got it.

Whoever says teens don't have their stuff figured out is totally off base, at least when it comes to condoms.

In that department, teens are MORE responsible, when it comes to condom use than adults, according to the Center for Sexual Health Promotion. They came out with a survey that showed teens (ages 14-17) are using condoms between 58.1-79.1% of the time, compared to 17.5-21.3% for adults between 35 and 44 years old.

That’s a huge difference! One of the survey authors, Dennis Fortenberry, put it this way: “…many contemporary adolescents are being responsible… by using condoms when having sex.”

And just in case you’re in the camp of “I don’t wanna use it cause it doesn’t feel the same,” here is what the surveyors found: “Adults using a condom for intercourse were just as likely to rate the sexual extent positively in terms of arousal, pleasure and orgasm than when having intercourse without one.”

Plus, they prevent most sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and pregnancy. And they are free at most California teen clinics! What's not to love?

I did a little online digging and found this hilarious video of one girl’s reaction to her partner’s refusal to wear a condom – think you’ll try this sometime?
